Instrument Cosmetic Condition (Please read carefully)
Each year I am confronted by students and parents about the cosmetic condition of the school-owned instruments. Please understand, SCS tries to make sure each school is equipped with an inventory of instruments so that all students can participate. We are lucky to have enough inventory so as all students can participate. We do not have brand new, unused instruments. Some of our inventory has some dents and blemishes, but they all play as an instrument should, with good tone quality. The Cosmetic Condition of each instrument is documented and recorded before students are issued their chosen horn. If a student brings Mr. Forbes an instrument that is not working, he will try to repair the instrument at school. If a student brings Mr. Forbes a DAMAGED instrument, the student will have to take that instrument to AMRO Music for repair.
